Promoting social and environmental business awareness whilst helping the community

According to Social Enterprise East of England (SEEE), Social enterprises are "businesses that have social or environmental objectives; they reinvest their surpluses into the business or community. They are organisations interested in overcoming social injustice or inclusion and contributing to society."

PR and marketing for social enterprises is quite a specialist field. While the emphasis of the business is making money, as with any business, the focus is also on providing a service to the user group and, often, raising the profile of their issues and concerns.
